Job Description
As an Officer, Wide Network, you will play a critical role in designing, maintaining, and optimizing enterprise-level wide area network (WAN) infrastructure. You will ensure reliable, secure, and scalable connectivity across multiple sites, data centers, and cloud environments. This role requires technical expertise in network architecture, a sharp eye for detail, and a proactive approach to driving network resilience, security, and performance across the organization.
Network Design & Optimization:
Plan, implement, and maintain WAN infrastructure to meet performance, scalability, and security standards.
Network Monitoring & Troubleshooting:
Proactively monitor network health, investigate incidents, and resolve connectivity issues across branches, headquarters, and remote sites.
Collaboration & Support:
Partner with Cybersecurity, Systems, Applications, and Site IT teams to deliver seamless and secure connectivity.
Vendor & ISP Coordination:
Manage service provider and vendor relationships, ensure SLA compliance, and resolve external connectivity concerns.
Documentation & Compliance:
Maintain accurate network documentation (topologies, configurations, change logs) in line with audit, risk, and compliance standards.
Security Compliance:
Implement WAN security policies and align with Information Security to ensure compliance with enterprise security frameworks.
Technology Innovation:
Evaluate, recommend, and deploy new networking technologies to improve performance, cost-efficiency, and resilience.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Electronics & Communications Engineering, or related field.
3–5 years of relevant experience in WAN design, administration, and support.
Strong knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), MPLS, SD-WAN, VPNs, and enterprise-grade firewalls.
Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, or similar enterprise platforms.
Familiarity with cloud connectivity and hybrid environments (Azure, AWS, GCP).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are highly desirable.
