We are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack WordPress Developer who will be responsible for both back-end and front-end development, including creating WordPress themes and plugins. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the latest industry trends and content management systems, and a keen eye for design and functionality.

Butterfly is a web development company based in Melbourne. We are seeking a star to take on a senior role in the development of WordPress websites, and for the right candidate, some Joomla websites and Python web applications. 

The responsibilities for this job include:

• Develop and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
• Implement responsive and accessible UI/UX designs, collaborating closely with designers and clients.
• Write clean, well-documented code that adheres to best practices and industry standards.
• Optimise websites for speed, performance, and SEO, ensuring a smooth user experience across all devices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to website functionality, performance, and security.
• Stay updated with the latest web development trends, tools, and technologies to continually improve the development process.
• Work with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and deliver solutions that exceed client expectations.

Must Haves/Requirements:

1. 5 years experience as a Full Stack WordPress Developer, with a strong portfolio of WordPress projects.
2. Experience working with Australian or US company
3. Proficient in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and PHP.
4. Strong experience with WordPress theme and plugin development.
5. Solid understanding of responsive design principles and UI/UX best practices.
6. Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
7. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
8. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    

Optional nice to haves:

• Experience with front-end frameworks like React or Vue.js 
• Experience with PHP and frameworks such aslike Laravel
• Familiarity with modern build tools like Webpack or Gulp.
• Knowledge of security and SEO best practices as well as  and optimisation techniques.
• Experience with integrating third-party APIs and services.
• Familiarity with eCommerce platforms like WooCommerce.
• Understanding of accessibility standards and WCAG compliance.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in computer science, web development, or a related field.

Benefits

• The salary range for this role is ₱60,000 to ₱90,000 per month after probation is successfully completed
• Paid Regular Philippines holidays (paid if not worked or double pay if worked)
